4. Balancing

The precision fine boring tool 236 019
(263 019) is prebalanced, and can also
be fine balanced additionally by adding a
heavy metal thread pin.
- Application of tool holders for
6 to 16 mm (.236 – .63") diameters
The unbalance caused by the slide and
the tool holder is reduced to a mini-
mum by using the heavy metal thread

archived when the slide is set from 0 –
1.3 mm (0 – .051") from the centre. The
heavy metal thread pin must be scre-
wed in on the side which has the mark
inside the U-shaped area limit (fig. 3a
and 3c).
If the slide stroke used is over 1.3 mm
(.051"), the heavy metal thread pin
must be fitted as shown in figure 3c.
