3.4 Balancing
The precision boring tool has manual bal-
ancing. The small tool (Ø 40 mm / 1.575")
has four balancing weights ⑤, and the large
tool (Ø 50 mm / 1.969") has six balancing
weights ⑤, based on the respective outer
diameters. This means that the complete
tool, with any compatible accessory and
any master shank ⃝

balancing machine. The balancing weights
are delivered installed in a neutral posi-
tion. In this (neutral) position it is possible
to work with restricted values (speed and
cutting speed). The tool may be reset to
this neutral position at any time using the
engraved markings ⃝
balancing weights.
No additional balancing surfaces
or holes must be installed on this
boring tool!
The max. permissible residual
imbalance of the machine manufacturer
must be observed (if necessary, com
plete tools have to be balanced).
4. Maintenance
No maintenance!
To ensure the tool has a long service life, it
must be cleaned after use. A light film of oil
should be applied to the visible, uncoated
steel parts from time to time. Replace the
batteries as required.

Available accessories ② include reducing
sleeves ⑦, mini-boring tools ⑧, tool hold-
ers ⑨, serrated tool body ⑩, insert holders
⑪, replaceable inserts and service key.
Accessories are not included in the sched-
ule of parts supplied with the precision
boring tool and must be ordered separately.
