3.3 Battery replacement
The two integrated batteries have a service
life of approx. 5500 setting cycles. We
recommend having spare batteries available
at all times. When the "Low battery" symbol
appears on the display, the batteries will
last for about another 50 setting cycles.
When the "Low battery" display flash-
es, the batteries are empty and must be
replaced. Open the battery compartment
⃝

with a Torx 20 service key, remove old
batteries and dispose of them properly.
When changing the batteries, the gasket
in the access cover "0" must be inspected
and replaced in case of damage to prevent
the penetration of coolant into the battery
compartment.
This precision boring tool must only be
operated with batteries of the following
VARTA V392 SR 41 Sil ver oxide / Zinc /
KOHElectrolyte.
Only these batteries have been tested with
regard to high centrifugal forces.
Please dispose of old batteries properly.
