5. Connection and control elements
(11) LEVEL control
You can use this control to set the headphones volume.
Position "0" = minimum level
Position "10" = maximum level
Turn the control knob to the "0" position before plugging in, unplugging or putting on the
headphones or before switching the mixer on or off. Otherwise, there is risk of damage to your
hearing as a result of excessive volume from the headphone output.
(12) Channel faders
The channel faders are for adjusting the level of each channel.
Slide control to the bottom position = minimum channel level
Slide control to the top position = maximum channel level
The channel fader of channels that are not in use should be slid right down. This reduces the possibility
of interference.
(13) XF CURVE switch
This switch specifies the cross-fader's (8) control characteristics.
SHARP position = hard characteristic, ideal for "scratching"
GRADUAL position = soft characteristic, good for smooth cross-fading
(14) RIV X-FADER CONTROL switch
This switch reverses the cross-fader channel allocation.
NORMAL position = normal channel allocation (A left, B right)
REVERSED position = reversed channel allocation (B left, A right)
(15) PHONES connection
A set of stereo headphones can be connected to this 6.3 mm jack. The input signals can be prescreened on the
headphones or you can listen in on the output signal.
(16) POWER switch
The mixer is switched on and off using this switch.
The mixing desk is switched on when the switch is in position "I" and switched off when it is in position "O".
