12. Use the manual included with the engine for the linkage
position at the servo. A quick connector (not included)
will be required to attach the linkage to the servo arm.
Move the servo to low throttle and install the linkage.
Adjust the linkage so the carburetor is closed. Check the
operation of the carburetor using the radio system and
make any adjustments necessary to achieve full throttle.
13. Inspect the fuel tank to determine which fuel lines go
to the clunk and vent. Mark the lines so they can be
identifi ed when the tank is installed in the fuselage.
Fit the fuel tank in the fuselage, routing the fuel lines
through the opening in the fi rewall. Secure the fuel tank
in the fuselage using the tie wraps included with your
model.
14. Mount the fuel dot and overfl ow fi ttings in the brackets
underneath the fuselage. Route the fuel lines as
necessary. Use tie wraps or wire ties (not included) to
secure all connections. Check that the fuel lines are
secure and will not come in contact with the muffl ers or
throttle linkage during fl ight.
COWLING AND SPINNER INSTALLATION
1.
Attach an aluminum cowling bracket to the fuselage
using 4-40 x 1/2-inch socket head cap screws and #4
washer. Use threadlock on the screw before installation.
Use a 3/32-inch hex wrench to lightly tighten the bracket
so it can be positioned in the following steps.

Attach the remaining seven brackets to the fuselage at
this time. Again, leave the brackets loose enough so they
can be positioned when installing the cowl.

Locate the bottom cowl. It can be identifi ed by the blind
nuts along the edge where the upper cowl will overlap
and attach.

Attach the bottom cowl to the fuselage using four 4-40
x 1/2-inch button head screws and four #4 washers.
Tighten the screws using a 1/16-inch hex wrench. Adjust
the brackets as necessary to align with the holes in the
cowl. Tighten the screws attaching the brackets to the
fuselage using a 3/32-inch hex wrench to secure their
position. Remove the bottom cowl and set it aside.

Attach the upper cowl to the fuselage using four 4-40
x 1/2-inch button head screws and a 1/16-inch hex
wrench. Align the brackets, then tighten them to the
fuselage using a 3/32-inch hex wrench once the upper
cowl has been attached.
6.
Attach the muffl ers to the engine.
7.
Fit the lower cowl back into position, trimming the cowl
to fi t the exhaust stacks on the muffl er. Removing the
two screws from the upper cowl that are closest to the
lower cowl mount will allow easier installation of the
lower cowl.
