Soak the wooden spacers for the engine with thin CA to
prevent fuel from soaking into the spacers. Allow the CA
to fully cure before proceeding.
3.
Attach the engine to the fi rewall using the spacers and
four 1/4-20 x 1

thread lock on the screws before tightening them using a
3/16-inch hex wrench.
Check the engine mounting bolts after a few flights
as the plywood can compress, loosening the bolts.
4.
Secure the ignition module battery to the engine box
using hook and loop tape and straps.
5.
Mount the switch using the hardware included with the
switch. Cut the covering in the sub-fi rewall to route the
leads from the switch to the ignition module and battery,
then connect and secure the leads together. The opening
can be enlarged using a hobby knife and #11 blade to fi t
a variety of switches.
6.
Connect the leads from the ignition module to the engine.
Secure all the leads so they won't disconnect or interfere
with the operation of the engine. Use clear tape to seal
the hole and to prevent air from entering the fuselage.

Secure the ignition battery to the radio tray using hook
and loop tape and a hoop and loop strap.
8.
Connect the ignition battery to the switch using an 18-
inch (460mm) servo extension. Secure the extension to
the battery and switch connectors. Route the extension
under the top edge of the fuselage as far away from the
remote receiver as possible. Use silicone adhesive to
keep the extension in position.
9.
Prepare the holes for the servo mounting screws by
threading a screw into each hole, then removing the
screw. Place 2 to 3 drops of thin CA in each hole and
allow the CA to fully cure. Mount the servo in the
fuselage with the servo output facing the front of the
fuselage using the screws included with the servo.
Connect the servo to the receiver using the 24-inch
(600mm) servo extension installed earlier.
