Turn on the radio system and center the elevator
servo. Attach the servo arm perpendicular to the servo
centerline. It may be necessary to use the sub-trim at the
transmitter to achieve perfect alignment. Use a Pro-Link
wrench to adjust the linkage so the elevator is centered
when the elevator servo is centered.
FIN AND RUDDER INSTALLATION
1.
Fit the fi n into the fuselage, sliding it as far forward in the
slot as it will slide. Use a felt-tipped pen to transfer the
outline of the fuselage onto both sides of the fi n.
2.
Remove the fi n from the fuselage. Carefully trim the
covering using a hobby knife and new #11 blade. Cut
below the lines 1/16-inch (2mm). Use caution not to
cut into the underlying wood which can weaken the fi n.
Remove the lines made by the pen using a paper towel
and isopropyl alcohol.

4.
Brush a layer of 30-minute epoxy into the slot in the
fuselage.
5.
Slide the fi n into position. Remove any excess epoxy
using a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol. Allow the
epoxy to fully cure before proceeding. Check the fi n
periodically to make sure it is fully forward in the slot and
perpendicular to the stabilizer as the epoxy cures.
6.
Insert the 8-32 threaded rod into the hole in the rudder.
Thread a 8-32 fl anged nut on each side of the rudder.
Leave the nuts loose at this time.
7.
Adjust the position of the nuts so the threaded rod
protrudes equally from each side of the rudder. Apply
thread lock to secure the nuts, then tighten the nuts
using an 11/32-inch open end wrench. Do not over-
tighten the nut, damaging the underlying wood.
