10. Attach the cables to the brass three-hole fi ttings at the
tail wheel bracket.
11. Attach the cables to the cable ends after connecting the
clevises to the brass two-hole fi ttings. Once all the fi tting
are attached, place light tension on the cables. Adjust
the tension on the cables by threading the clevis in or
out on the cable ends. Work slowly, adjusting each cable,
checking the tension of the cables and alignment of the
tail surfaces. Once adjusted, slide the retainer over the
forks of the clevis. Make sure to apply thread lock to all
the metal-to-metal fasteners.
LANDING GEAR INSTALLATION
1. Use a 10mm and 1/2-inch open end wrench to attach
the axle to the landing gear. The fl at areas on the axle
must face toward the bottom of the gear so they can be
access if a wheel collar becomes loose.
2. Place the inner wheel collar on the axle 7/16-inch
(11mm) from the face of the axle nut. Apply thread lock
on the setscrew, then tighten the setscrew on the fl at
area using a 1.5mm hex wrench.
3. Place a drop of light machine oil on the axle, then slide
the wheel on the axle.

4. Secure the wheel using a 5/32-inch wheel collar,
tightening the setscrew on the outer fl at area. Make sure
to use thread lock on the setscrew to prevent it from
vibrating loose.
5. Attach the landing gear using four 8-32 x 3/4-inch
socket head cap screws and four #8 washers. Apply
thread lock on the screws before tightening.
6. Check to make sure the landing gear is angled toward
the front of the fuselage.
7. Attach the wheel pants to the landing gear using two
4-40 x 1/2-inch socket head cap screws and two
#4 washers. Apply thread lock to the screws before
tightening them using a 3/32-inch hex wrench.
ENGINE INSTALLATION
1. Attach the pipe tunnel plate in the fuselage using four
4-40 x 3/8-inch socket head cap screws and four #4
washers. Apply threadlock before tightening the screws
with a 3/32-inch hex wrench. Only install the plate when
using muffl ers.
