WARNING
■ Never operate your trimmer / brushcutter if it is
damaged, improperly adjusted or maintained,
not completely and securely assembled or not
functioning properly,

Before starting the engine:
► Make sure you have a secure and firm footing.
► Position the trimmer / brushcutter on a level
surface.
► Remove the transport guard from a metal cut‐
ting attachment, if mounted.
► Make sure the cutting attachment is not touch‐
ing the ground or any other obstacles.
To start the engine:

five times – even if the bulb is filled with fuel.

► Hold down the unit by wrapping the fingers of
your left hand firmly around the drive tube.
► Pull the starter grip slowly with your right hand
until you feel it engage.
► Pull the starter grip quickly and allow the
starter rope to rewind several times until the
engine runs.
► Do not pull out the starter rope to full length
and do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing so that
the starter rope can rewind properly.
► Once the engine starts, press down the throt‐
tle trigger lockout (3) and blip the throttle trig‐
ger (4). The choke lever (2) will move to the
run position and the engine will settle down
to idling speed.
► If the engine is cold, warm up the engine by
opening and closing the throttle.
► If the engine stalls in the
engine was started, but shut off when it was
accelerated the first time, move the choke
lever to the position and try starting the
engine again.
► If the engine does not start in the
