5 Setting the Spotlight into
Operation
WARNING To prevent damage to your eyes,
Connect the mains cable provided to the mains
jack (6) and to a socket (230 V~/ 50 Hz): The unit
can then be operated via the DMX light control-
ler (
 chapter 8) or will run the show program
set (
 chapter 7) . To switch off the unit, discon-
nect the mains plug from the socket .
Caution: Never connect the unit to the mains
voltage via a dimmer!

6 Operating the Spotlight

The operating mode and the different functions
are selected via a menu shown on the display
(3) . The menu structure can be found in chapter
11 .2 . The remote control supplied (fig . 2) also
allows you to select many functions directly .
Please refer to chapter 8 for information on how
to operate the spotlight via a DMX controller .
When the power supply is switched on,
will first appear on the display and the
spotlight head will make a reference move for
position adjustment .

The spotlight must be installed
in a safe and expert manner .
If the spotlight is installed at a
place where people may walk
or sit under it, additionally
secure the spotlight (e . g . by
never look directly into the light
source for any length of time .
Please note that fast changes
in lighting may trigger epilep-
tic seizures with photosensitive
persons or person with epilepsy!

6.1 Remote control

1) The remote control is supplied with a bat-
tery inserted . To prevent the battery from
discharging during storage, there is a protec-
tive film between the battery and the battery
contacts . Prior to initial operation, remove
the protective film from the battery support
on the rear side of the remote control
2) When pressing a button, always point the in-
frared remote control to the sensor REMOTE
(1) on the front side of the spotlight . Make
sure that there are no obstacles between the
remote control and the unit .
The functions of the remote control can be
found in chapter 1 .1 .
3) When the operating range of the remote
control decreases, the battery must be re-
placed: On the rear side of the remote con-
trol, push the small latch with the groove to
the right and remove the battery support:

Use a battery of the type CR 2025 . When
inserting the battery in the battery support,
observe the polarity (⊕ facing upwards) .
If the remote control is not used for a longer
time, remove the battery as a precaution so
that the remote control will not be damaged
in case the battery should leak .
Never put discharged batteries in
the household waste . To protect the
environment, always take them to a
special waste disposal, e . g . collection
container at your retailer .

6.2 Operation via the menu

Use the buttons MENU, ,  and ENTER (2) to
make settings via the menu .
1) To call up the setting menu, press the button
MENU . The menu item
the display (3) .
2) Select the menu item desired with the button
 (or MENU) or  .
3) Press the button ENTER . The display will in-
dicate the current setting of the menu item
selected .
