8.3 Setting the start address

For separate control of all DMX units connected
to the light controller, each unit requires a start
address of its own . Example: If the first DMX
channel of the spotlight is to be controlled by
DMX address 5, set the start address on the
WASH-50LED to 5 . The other DMX channels of
the spotlight will then be automatically assigned
to the subsequent addresses .
Example:
With 16 control channels and the start address for chan-
nel 1 set to 5, the channels 2 to 16 will be assigned
to the addresses 6 to 20; the address 21 will be the
next possible start address available for the subsequent
DMX-controlled unit .
1) Call up the menu with the button MENU . The
menu item
2) Press the button ENTER . The display will in-
dicate the current start address .
3) Use the button  or  to set the address
desired (1 – 512) and then press ENTER to
save it .
With the IR remote control, the setting can be
made even more conveniently:
Press the button DMX and then enter the digits
for the start address desired directly one after
the other . To enter "0", use the button SHOW .
Note: The start address can only be entered
via the remote control while a DMX signal is
being received .
Once the start address has been set, the spot-
light can be operated via the DMX controller .
The current start address will be shown on the
display to indicate reception of control signals .

9 Additional Functions

9.1 Reversing movement directions

If the spotlight is to be operated together with
other spotlights, it may be reasonable to reverse
one or both movement directions .

1) Call up the menu with the button MENU .
2) Use the button  or  to call up the menu
item
for the pan movement or
the tilt movement and then press ENTER to
confirm . The display will indicate the current
setting .
3) Use the button  or  to define if the move-
ment is to be reversed (
press ENTER to save the setting .

9.2 Rotating the display

When the spotlight is suspended, the display
can be rotated by 180° so that it is more con-
venient to read .
1) Call up the menu with the button MENU .
2) Select the menu item
 or  .
3) Press the button ENTER . The display will be
rotated (
) .
Repeat this procedure to reset the display to its
previous position .

9.3 Switching off the display

To make sure that the display does not dis-
turb during operation, it can be automatically
switched off after a few seconds if no button is
pressed . To switch the display on again, press
any button .
1) Call up the menu with the button MENU .
2) Select the menu item
 or  and then press ENTER to confirm .
The display will indicate the current setting .
3) Use the button  or  to define if the display
is always to remain switched on (
to be switched off automatically (
press ENTER to save the setting .

9.4 Colour balance

When the WASH-50LED is controlled together
with other spotlights, it may be necessary to
adjust the balance between the primary colours .
1) Call up the menu with the button MENU .
2) Select the menu item
 or  and then press ENTER to confirm .
3) Use the button  or  to select the primary
colour to be adjusted and then press ENTER
to confirm .
