Intended purpose
GenuTrain is a medical device� It is a support for the relief
and stabilization of the knee joint�
Indications
• Tendinopathy, tendomyopathy, ligament insertion
degeneration, meniscopathy
• Chronic, post-traumatic or post-operative irritation
• Recurring joint effusion
• Osteoarthritis of the knee (joint wear)
• Arthritis (joint inflammation)
• Prevention / recurrence prevention
• Feeling of instability
Risks of using this product
Please closely observe the specifications in these
instructions for use and the instructions given by the
professional.
The benefits of this product are felt particularly during
physical activity�
• Please doff the support during longer rest phases�
• Once you have been prescribed the GenuTrain, only
use it according to your indication and any additional
instructions given by a professional*� Please consult
the professional or your physician first if you want to
use it together with other products� Do not modify the
product yourself in any way; otherwise it may not help
as expected or it may be harmful to your health� In these
cases, any warranty or liability claims will be excluded�
• Avoid contact with ointments, lotions, or substances
containing grease or acids�
• Any aids applied externally to the body may, if tightened
excessively, lead to local pressure points or, in rare
cases, constrict the underlying blood vessels or nerves�
• If you notice any changes or an increase in symptoms
while wearing the product, stop any further use and
contact your physician�
• If you would like to use your Bauerfeind product due
to acute symptoms / injuries, make sure to obtain
and follow the advice of a professional before first
using the product� Restrictions may exist given the
specific indication which the professional can clarify� In
particular, the ability to operate vehicles, other means
of transport or machinery may be limited� In case of
doubt, we recommend temporarily refraining from the
activities mentioned above�
Contraindications
No clinically significant adverse reactions have been
reported to date� If you have any of the following
conditions, the product should only be used after
consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders / injuries to the relevant part of the body,
particularly if inflammation is present� Likewise, any
raised scars with swelling, redness, and excessive heat
build-up
• Venous insufficiency, particularly with varicose veins
• Impaired sensation in the leg due to neurological
abnormalities
• Circulatory disorders of the leg
(e�g� in cases of diabetes mellitus)
• Impaired lymphatic drainage and soft tissue swelling of
unknown origin
* A professional is any person who is authorized, according to their state's regulations,
to fit and provide instructions on the use of supports and orthoses�
Application instructions
Donning of the GenuTrain
• Grip the donning aids at the top ends of the stays on
both sides and pull the support up over the knee�
• Position the Omega+ Pad (ring-shaped pad) in such
a way that it encloses the kneecap without exerting
pressure� Images
Doffing of the GenuTrain
• Grip the doffing aids at the bottom ends of the stays on
both sides and pull the support downwards� Image
Make sure not to turn the support inside-out.
Cleaning instructions
Please use mild detergent and a mesh bag� Never
expose your product to direct heat / cold� Also observe
the instructions on the sewn-in label on the upper edge
of your product� Regular care guarantees optimum
effectiveness of the product�
Notes on reuse
This product is intended to be fitted to one patient only�
Warranty
The statutory regulations of the country of purchase apply�
Please first contact the retailer from whom you obtained
the product directly in the event of a potential claim
under the warranty� The product must be cleaned before
submitting it in case of warranty claims� Warranty may be
limited or excluded if the instructions on how to handle
and care for the GenuTrain have not been observed�
Warranty is excluded if:
• The product was not used according to the indication
• The instructions given by the professional were not
observed
• The product was modified arbitrarily

Destination
GenuTrain est un dispositif médical� Il s'agit d'un bandage
qui sert à soulager et stabiliser le genou�
Indications
• Tendopathies, tendinomyopathies, enthésopathies,
méniscopathies
• États inflammatoires chroniques, post-traumatiques ou
post-opératoires
• Épanchements articulaires récidivants
• Gonarthrose (usure articulaire)
• Arthrite (inflammation des articulations)
• Prévention / prophylaxie des récidives
• Instabilité subjective
Risques d'utilisation
Veuillez suivre méticuleusement les indications de la
présente notice d'utilisation ainsi que les remarques du
spécialiste.
Le produit agit notamment au cours des activités
physiques�
• Retirez votre bandage en cas de phases de repos
prolongées�
• À la suite de la prescription d'une GenuTrain, veuillez
utiliser exclusivement ce bandage dans le respect des
indications et conformément aux autres consignes
fournies par le spécialiste*� En cas d'utilisation
concomitante d'autres produits, veuillez consulter
préalablement un spécialiste ou votre médecin�
N'effectuez vous-même aucun changement sur le
produit ; autrement, le produit ne vous apportera
pas l'aide escomptée ou pourra entraîner des effets
néfastes sur la santé� En pareil cas, la garantie et notre
responsabilité seraient exclues�
• Évitez tout contact avec des substances grasses ou
acides, des crèmes ou des lotions�
• Toutes les aides thérapeutiques positionnées sur les
différentes parties du corps peuvent conduire à des
pressions locales excessives si elles sont portées trop
serrées, et plus rarement à un rétrécissement du calibre
des vaisseaux sanguins ou des nerfs�
• Si, lors du port du produit, vous constatez un quel-
conque changement ou des troubles progressifs, stop-
pez son utilisation et adressez-vous à votre médecin�
• Si vous souhaitez utiliser votre produit Bauerfeind dans
le cadre de douleurs / blessures aiguës, demandez
impérativement avant la première utilisation un avis
médical professionnel et respectez-le� Il peut y avoir
des restrictions liées à l'indication, ce qui vous sera
expliqué par le spécialiste� La conduite de véhicules,
d'autres moyens de transport ou de machines pourrait
notamment s'en trouver limitée� En cas de doute, nous
vous conseillons de renoncer provisoirement aux
activités susmentionnées�
Contre-indications
Aucun effet secondaire de caractère pathologique n'est
connu� En présence des affections citées ci-après,
l'application du produit doit être précédée d'une
consultation médicale :
• Dermatoses / lésions cutanées dans la zone en contact
avec l'appareillage, notamment en cas d'inflammations ;
il en va de même en cas de cicatrices avec gonflement,
de rougeur et d'hyperthermie
• Insuffisance veineuse, en particulier en cas de maladies
variqueuses (ou autrement dit, varices)
• Troubles de la sensibilité au niveau de la jambe en
raison d'altérations neurologiques
• Troubles de la circulation sanguine au niveau de la
jambe (par ex�, en cas de diabète sucré)
• Troubles de la circulation lymphatique et tuméfactions
inexpliqués
* On entend par spécialiste toute personne habilitée à adapter des bandages et des orthèses et à fournir

Conseils d'utilisation
Mise en place de la GenuTrain
• Saisissez les aides d'enfilage des deux côtés au niveau
des bords supérieurs des renforts et relevez le bandage
vers le haut par-dessus le genou�
• Positionnez le coussinet Omega+ (pelote annulaire) de
façon à entourer la rotule sans exercer de pression�

Retrait de la GenuTrain
• Saisissez les aides de retrait des deux côtés au niveau
des bords inférieurs des renforts et tirez le bandage
vers le bas� Figure
Le bandage ne doit pas être retourné.
Conseils de nettoyage
Veuillez utiliser une lessive pour linge délicat ainsi qu'un
filet à linge� Ne jamais exposer votre produit à une source
de chaleur / froid directe� Veuillez tenir compte des
conseils de l'étiquette cousue sur le bord supérieur de
votre produit� Un entretien régulier permet de garantir une
efficacité optimale du dispositif médical�
Conseils pour une réutilisation
Ce produit est réservé à la prise en charge individuelle
d'un seul patient ou d'une seule patiente�
Garantie
La législation en vigueur est celle du pays où le produit
a été acheté� Si un cas de garantie est présumé, veuillez
vous adresser premièrement à la personne à qui vous
avez acheté le produit� Le produit doit être nettoyé avant
de notifier un cas de garantie� En cas de non-respect
des indications sur le maniement et l'entretien de la
GenuTrain, la garantie peut être compromise, voire devenir
nulle et non avenue� La garantie est caduque dans les
cas suivants :
• Utilisation non conforme aux indications
• Non-respect des consignes du spécialiste
• Altération arbitraire du dispositif médical
Exclusion de responsabilité
Ne vous autodiagnostiquez pas, ne vous automédiquez
pas non plus, à moins que vous ne soyez un spécialiste*�
Avant d'utiliser notre dispositif médical pour la première
fois, demandez expressément conseil à un médecin ou au
spécialiste* ; c'est le seul moyen d'évaluer l'effet de notre
produit sur votre corps et de déterminer les éventuels
risques d'utilisation liés à votre constitution physique
particulière� Suivez les conseils de ce spécialiste ainsi que

Mise au rebut
À la fin de sa durée d'utilisation, veuillez mettre le produit
au rebut conformément aux réglementations locales�
