3.4 Model identification string
Each model has a unique model identification string. The format of this string is as follows: SPS1-ABCDEFGHI

4. Site preparation
Power
•
The payment box is rated at 0.48A when installed using a 230 V AC power cable. The payment box also contains an
main circuit breaker (MCB) rated at 6A, which protects the upstream installation, and which can be used to de-energize
the payment box for servicing purposes.
•
The payment box requires a single-phase power connection, i.e. L, N and PE.
•
The power cable used for installation of the payment box must have an outer insulation diameter in the 8 – 12 mm
range. The payment box supports cross-sections of 0.5 - 4 mm
including ferrules.
Ethernet
In case the payment terminal connects to the internet using a local network, a shielded CAT cable (CAT6 or greater) must be
provided that allows the terminal to access the internet.
Cable lengths
•
In case the payment box is installed on the stand accessory, at least 1.8m length of cabling (power and optionally
ethernet) must be available above surface level.
•
In case the payment box is installed on a vertical surface, at least 45cm length of cabling (power and optionally ethernet)
must be available right below the cable gland entry of the payment box.
