4. Spread the ash granules in the front over the vis-
ible surface area of the burner.
Keep the gas exhaust openings and the burner
air holes free of coals as much as possible.
Keep the area around the pilot free to prevent
ignition failure; see following figure.
The flame image** is partly determined by the
way the granules are spread over the burner
surface. In certain cases it may be necessary
to change the distribution of the ash granules
by partially freeing up several burner openings,
for example, in order to improve the flame
effect.
5. Re-position all removed parts in the correct places
in the stove.
When replacing the glass pane, check that the
sealing profile is in the right place and fits prop-
erly.

The appliance is now ready for use.

Use

First use

When you use the appliance for the first time, run it at
the highest setting for a few hours and ventilate the
room adequately at the same time. This will cure the
heat-resistant paint finish. Some white deposit may
appear on the glass and the inside. Once the appli-
ance has cooled down, you can easily remove this
deposit with a cloth.

Clean the glass pane before using the appliance, to
prevent dirt from burning in.

Switching on the stove

Turn the MANUAL button to the ON position, entirely
counter-clockwise
operation' section.

Simultaneously press the OFF and
tons until a short beep confirms initiation of the start
sequence; release the buttons.
Once the pilot is on, the motor will auto-
matically switch over to the maximum flame
position.
