1 Hydrophobic filter
Install and configure the Flo-Ware software
Install and configure the Flo-Ware software to control and transmit flow data from the instrument to a
portable computer. Flo-Ware software is available for downloading on www.hachflow.com. Make
sure to download both, the main software and the applicable driver software for your sensor.
1. Install the Flo-Ware
Refer to the Flo-Ware User Manual for instructions.
2. Configure the Flo-Ware software. Refer to the Flo-Ware User Manual for instructions or the Flo-
Ware online help.
3. Enter the installation information in the site setup section of Flo-Dar communications. Refer to
Record the installation information
4. For Flo-Dar sensors:
a. If the sensor is in a circular pipe, select Direct Mean Velocity for the Flow Cal Method setting.
b. If the sensor is in a rectangular channel, select Velocity Multiplier for the Flow Cal Method
setting.
c. If the sensor has the optional extended range feature, select Extended Setup>Extended
Range level transducer on the ultrasonic level call screen.
5. For Flo-Tote 3 sensors, use a Site Calibration Coefficient. Refer to the Flo-Tote 3 User Manual to
profile and set the site calibration coefficient.

Operation

Transmit stored data
Keep the front cover closed when the instrument is not connected to an RS232 cable.
1. Open or remove the front cover. Refer to
2. Connect the RS232 cable to the RS232 connector on the front of the instrument.
3. Connect the RS232 cable to a portable computer that has Flo-Ware software.
4. Use the Flo-Ware software to transmit stored data from the instrument to the portable computer.
