Installation
Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this section of the
document.
Installation guidelines
• Do not install the instrument in a location that receives direct exposure to sunlight, rain or next to a
heat source.
• Make sure that there is sufficient clearance around the instrument to make connections.
• Install the instrument in an environmental enclosure or protective covering when installed
outdoors.
Mechanical installation
Mounting
Attach the instrument to a flat, vertical surface. Use a fastener that is applicable to the mounting
surface (e.g., concrete, wood or metal). Mounting hardware is supplied by the user.
1. Hold the instrument at eye level with the cable entry side down. Refer to
2. Put a mark at each mounting hole location.
3. Make mounting holes at the marks.
4. Attach the instrument to the surface with six screws or bolts so it is secure.
Note: The clearance through the mounting holes is 5.1 mm (0.2 in.).
