Record the installation information
Record the installation information so it can be entered in the Flo-Ware software:
• Site specific data (location, site ID and description)
• Installation date
• Pipe inside dimension (ID) number
• Level offset, Sensor Offset or Level Cal as appropriate. Refer to the sensor manual for the
installed sensor.
• Sediment level if applicable
Startup
Install a desiccant cartridge
If the instrument is installed in a high-moisture environment, install a desiccant cartridge to absorb
moisture. Refer to
Replacement parts and accessories
The desiccant cartridge prevents damage to the APR tube from moisture and debris. Moisture and
debris decreases the accuracy of the surcharge level pressure transducer on a Flo-Dar sensor or
primary level on a Flo-Tote 3 sensor.
If the instrument is installed in a relatively dry environment, a desiccant cartidge is not necessary.
The hydrophobic filter installed in the APR port is all that is necessary to absorb moisture.
1. Pull the hydrophobic filter off the APR port. Refer to
2. Push the desiccant cartridge tube on the APR port.
