d) Continuous measurements
To take continuous measurements, move the laser measuring point over the entire object that
you want to measure. You do not need to trigger measurements.
Every time the device detects a lower minimum value or a higher maximum value, an exact
measurement is triggered. The lowest value from the current measurements is indicated by the
"MIN" symbol. The highest value is indicated by the "MAX" symbol. For a very precise measure-
ment, limit the amount by which the device can move when taking measurements. For example,
place it on a level surface to ensure that it can only move around one axis. The measured
distance is the minimum or maximum value.

1. Press the red DIST button (3) to switch on the laser rangefinder. By default, the length meas-
urement function is automatically enabled when the device is switched on.
2. Press the FUNC button (2) three times to switch to the minimum measurement function.
3. Press the red DISTbutton to switch on the laser.
4. Point the laser beam at the end point of the distance you want to measure on a suitable
surface. Press the red DIST button to start continuous measurements. When the continuous
measurement function is enabled, the laser rangefinder will measure continuously at inter-
vals and emit beeps at short intervals. In this measurement mode, measurements are made
continuously with each beep. When a new minimum value is found, an exact measurement
is taken. New extreme values in the current set of measurements will replace the previous
minimum values.
5. Press the red DIST button to end the measurement process. The device will stop beeping
and the automatic measurements will end.
6. Read the shortest measurement result on the display.
