2. Press the FUNC button (2) to switch to the area measurement function.
3. Press the red DIST button again to switch on the laser.
4. Point the laser beam at the end point of the distance you want to measure on a suitable
surface. Press the red DIST button to take the first measurement.
5. Point the laser beam at the end point of the next edge (perpendicular to the first measure-
ment edge). Press the red DIST button to take the second measurement.
6. Read the area measurement on the display.
Always make sure that you measure two orthogonal (perpendicular) edges.
c) Volume measurements
Volume
1. Press the red DIST button (3) to switch on the laser rangefinder. By default, the length meas-
urement function is automatically enabled when the device is switched on.
2. Press the FUNC button (2) twice to switch to the volume measurement function.
3. Press the red DIST button again to switch on the laser.
4. Point the laser beam at the end point of the distance you want to measure on a suitable
surface. Press the red DIST button to take the first length measurement.
5. Point the laser beam at the end point of the next edge (perpendicular to the first measure-
ment edge). Press the red DIST button to take the second length measurement.
6. Point the laser beam at the end point of the next edge (perpendicular to the first and second
measurement edge). Press the red DIST button to take the third length measurement.
7. Read the volume measurement on the display.
Always make sure that you measure three orthogonal (perpendicular) edges.
