9. Selecting the measurement functions and taking
measurements
a) Length measurements
Length measurement
1. Press the red DIST button (3) to switch on the laser rangefinder. By default, the length meas-
urement function is automatically enabled when the device is switched on.
2. Press the red DIST button to switch on the laser. The device will beep to indicate that the
laser is switched on.
3. Point the laser beam at the end point of the distance you want to measure on a suitable
surface.
4. Press the red DIST button to measure the length. Read the length measurement on the
LCD display.
