Exercising and instruction manual
Main menu
Targets
In this menu there are 3 sub-menus:
1. Displays and functions
Here you decide your performance values, speed and how the energy used will be display-
ed.
2. Exercise values
The values for energy used, exercise time and exercise distance, which were accepted as
values in the targets, are here.
3. Heart rate targets
You enter here how your heart rate should be monitored and which value should be adhered
to.
Details > displays & functions
• You can leave or limit the maximum power of the equipment with "maximum power".
The equipment will not allow power over the limits. The % information in the power display
shows the current ration to the set maximum power.

• You insert the starting power from 25 - 100 Watt in the heart rate control programmes "HRC
start power" if your preset value of 25 Watts is too low.
• In "Warm up / cool down power" you insert a target power from 25 - 100 Watts, which will
activate an automatic power increase (warm up) or power decrease (cool down) in the count
up / count down programmes.
• In the "warm up / cool down duration" functions you decide the duration of your warm up /
cool down function from 60-240 seconds.
WarmUp (Aufwärmen)
In the first 30 seconds the power remains constant and then is increased until it reaches the tar-
get power (previously set power).
Note:
The "warm up" function will only be available if the preset power is higher than the warm up /
cool down power in displays & functions. Pressing "warm up" will display a progress bar. If the
progress bar reaches 100% during pedalling, it beeps 3 times and the function is ended.
CoolDown
The power will be reduced to the warm up / cool down power and held at this for 30 seconds
until the warm up / cool down duration is reached.
Note:
The "cool down" function will only be available if the current power in training is higher than
the warm up / cool down power in displays & functions. When you press "cool down" the pro-
gress bar will go to 100%. Once this has been reached it beeps 3 times and the function is
ended.
• Under "Energy calculation" you can decide whether your energy consumption should be dis-
played taking into account human efficiency (realistically) or taking into account the energy
expenditure of the ergometer and not human efficiency (physically).
• With the "energy unit" key you can decide if your energy use should be displayed in kilo-
joules or kcal.
