MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Step 2: Access the Interior
To remove the motor cover of the Ascend Wooden Walking Pad, you will need to have on hand a
Phillips-Head Screwdriver. Start by carefully flipping the walking pad over on a soft surface to prevent
damaging the plastic motor cover. You can use a balled up towel under the cover. From there, using the
screwdriver, remove both screws from both rubber feet located under the cover. Once removed, you
will be able to unscrew the 4 screws under the cover (2 per side). Flip the walking pad back while keeping
the plastic cover on the balled up towel. Remove the 2 last screws from the cover, located at the front
of the walking pad. You should be able to remove the cover by sliding it upwards. Be careful not to pull
hard as there are cables connecting the cover to the motor.
Step 3: Vacuum with Care
Use a handheld or brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust and debris from
the interior. Be thorough but avoid excessive force to prevent damage to delicate components.
Step 4: Focus on Critical Areas
Pay particular attention to the motor and electrical components, as these are susceptible to dust
buildup. Additionally, clean any ventilation ports.
Step 5: Reassemble and Test
Once you've completed the vacuuming, reassemble the walking pad by following step 2 backwards.
Make sure not to pinch any cables when reassembling the walking pad. Plug it in and run a brief test to
ensure it's functioning correctly.
Regular vacuuming inside your walking pad cover can help extend the life of your equipment, maintain
optimal performance, and ensure a safer and more enjoyable workout experience. Always consult your
walking pad's user manual for specific maintenance recommendations tailored to your model.
HARDWARE INSPECTION
Step 1: Safety Precautions
Ensure that the walking pad is powered off and unplugged from the electrical outlet before you begin
inspections.
Step 2: Gather the Right Tools
Collect the appropriate tools, such as wrenches or screwdrivers, to inspect and tighten hardware.
Step 3: Inspect All Components
Examine all visible hardware components on your walking pad. Pay close attention to bolts, nuts,
screws, and other fasteners. Check the frame, console and walking board.
Step 4: Identify Loose Hardware:
If you find any loose or wobbly hardware, use the appropriate tool to securely tighten it. Ensure
you do not overtighten, as this can damage the hardware.
Step 5: Identify Damaged Hardware:
If you find hardware that appears to be damaged, such as stripped screws, broken plastic, walking
board, etc. please reach out to Ascend's customer service for guidance. Some basic hardware can
also be purchased directly from movewithascend.com.
