MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Step 3: Apply the Lubricant
Locate your strike zone on the running mat, the area where your feet consistently impact the surface.
Lift the mat gently with one hand and apply an even spread of the recommended 5ml of silicone oil or
spray onto the center of the running deck.
Step 4: Secure the Mat
Carefully lower the walking pad's running belt back into place. If the belt had to be loosened, re-tighten
the roller bolts to ensure they are secure. Make sure to retighten the roller bolts in a clockwise fashion,
in the exact amount of turns that were done to loosen the walking belt. Note : Not completing the same
amount of turns may unadjust the walking belt. This can damage the belt and necessitate a lengthy
adjustment process to put back into place.
Step 5: Reconnect and Test
Plug the walking pad back in and power it on. Walk on the walking pad at a speed of 3 to 5 km/h for
approximately five minutes. This will allow the oil to distribute evenly across the deck surface, ensuring
a smoother and safer workout experience. To ensure the belt is properly lubricated, power off the
walking pad and slip your fingers underneath the belt. If it feels slick, it means the lubrication was done
properly. If it's dry, you might need to restart the process.
Step 6: Cleaning up
Wipe any lubricant that has leaked from the running belt. The lubricant might have leaked on the
walking pad or on the floor underneath. Cleaning up ensures that no surface other than the belt is
slippery. Walking pad lubricant can also stain different materials, so please be mindful of leaks.
By following these steps, you can effectively lubricate the running deck of your walking pad, prolong-
ing its life and maintaining its performance. Always follow this guide when lubricating your walking
pad. You may also contact Ascend's customer service for additional assistance.
BELT ADJUSTMENT
BELT TIGHTENING
Step 1: Ensure Safety
Turn off the walking pad and disconnect it from the power source for your safety.
Step 2: Locate Adjustment Bolts
Find the adjustment bolts positioned at the rear of the walking pad near the end cap.
Step 3: Adjust the Belt Tension
To tighten the walking pad belt, use an Allen key for the roller bolts adjustment.Gradually turn both the
left and right bolts one-quarter turn to the right (clockwise). Alternate between the left and right bolts
to ensure even adjustments.
Step 4: Check Belt Tension
Place your hand under the belt and gently lift it. Avoid over-tightening, which may lead to other issues.
You've achieved the proper tension when the belt lifts approximately 3 to 4 inches above the running
deck.
Following these steps will help you correctly adjust the tension of your walking pad belt, ensuring a safe
and efficient workout experience.
