INSTALLATION

WARNING
Carry out the unpacking, assembly, lifting and
installation operations described with care.
Failure to comply with these instructions could
damage the machine and put the operator
at risk.

Assembling the equipment

- Unpack the equipment, placing the packaging
in the position shown by the markings on it
(Fig. 1).
- Unpack the personal computer (Fig. 2).
- Remove the monitor from its packaging (Fig.
3).
- Remove the rear panel of the column.
Installing the Hard Lock
- Installing the electrical connector panel
(concentrator board): Install the electrical
connector panel at the rear of the column (1,
fig. 8). The electrical connector panel must be
connected to one of the HDD power cables
leading out of the back of the PC and to the
Hard Lock device with a USB cable (G, F, fig.
9).
- Installing the remote control receiver: Install
the radio remote control receiver board (2,
fig.4) at the rear of the column and connect the
flat cable to the JIR1 Picoflex connector of the
electrical connector panel (1, fig.8).
- Installing the Hard Lock device: Insert the
tip of a pen into the hole at the side to open
the SIM holder.
- Remove the wheel aligner SIM card (fig. 6)
from its punched backing card (keep the
backing card with the serial number for future
queries) and insert in the SIM holder (fig. 7),
with the gold contacts facing upward. Push the
SIM holder in.
- Fasten the Hard Lock device (1, fig.4) to the
column using the fastener screws provided.
Connect the 2 USB cables to the Hard Lock
device, feeding the cables through the spe-
cific hole. Connect the first one to an unused
USB port on the PC. Connect the second cable
to the USB port on the electrical connector
panel (concentrator board) (1, fig. 8). See fig.9
as reference for the connections.

- Install the monitor on the column using the
specific mount (1, fig.1), feeding the power
and signal cables through the specific hole.
Fasten with the screws provided.
- Place the computer on the lower shelf (4, fig.1),
feeding the power and signal cables through
the specific hole.
For correct positioning, place the front part of
the computer level with the front of the shelf.
- Remove the printer from its packaging, place on
the middle shelf and connect the power and
data cables, after feeding the cables through
the relative hole.
- Remove the keypad from its packaging, place
on the cabinet (2, fig. 1) and connect to one
of the free USB ports at the back of the PC
(D, fig. 9).
- Connect the cables with the aid of the wiring
diagram (Fig. 9); all the plugs are clearly in-
dicated on their respective PC sockets. Push
the plugs in completely without straining and,
where applicable, tighten the lock screws.
- The aligner wheel is factory-set to operate with
a mains voltage of 230Vac. The wheel aligner
may be configured to operate with a mains
voltage of 115Vac.
- Refit the rear panel of the column, fastening
with the specific tool provided.
- Connect the power supply cable to the plug
provided; first read the "Electrical Hook-up"
section.
- Turn on the aligner with the main switch and
the monitor and the printer with the specific
switches.
- Update the wheel aligner software if necessary,
"Updating the Wheel Aligner Software" sec-
tion, and install any optional kits, "Installing
Additional Functions" section.
CAUTION
For additional information about the technical
characteristics, warnings, maintenance and any
other data about the monitor or the printer,
read the relative operator's manuals supplied
with machine documentation.
