5.2 Functional description

The Oventrop dwelling station "Regudis W-HTF"
supplies heat as well as hot and cold potable water
to individual dwellings without using auxiliary heating.
The hot water for heating purposes is provided by a
central heat supply. The potable water is heated locally
via a heat exchanger according to the continuous
flow principle. The control range is adjustable between
40-70 °C.
Heating operation:
Heating water enters the heating circuit of the dwelling
(F) via the supply of the heating system (D). The pro-
portional flow controller (2) opens the path between
the return of the heating circuit (G) and the supply re-
turn (E).
Heating of potable water:
The proportional flow controller (2) switches to potable
water priority function, if hot water is demanded in
the dwelling. The heating water of the supply (D)
passes across the plate heat exchanger (1) and the
proportional flow controller (2) and enters the supply
return (E). The cold potable water (C) is warmed
up according to the continuous flow principle and is
available at the hot water supply of the dwelling (A).
Circulation operation:
During circulation operation, potable water enters the
heat exchanger via connection J.
During pump operation, the actuator (18) opens the
path via the pressure relief device of the proportional
flow controller. As a result, hot heating water may
pass across the heat exchanger on the inverse flow
principle and heat up the potable water. As long as
the circulation pump (17) is running, the valve at the
actuator (18) is opened.
