Column to base, Fig. 3
Position base {1) on floor or bench.
Place column assembly {2) on base and align holes in
column support with holes in base.
To attach and fasten the pillar unit, screw the three
screws (a) into the base plate and tighten them with
a wrench.
Table and pillar, Fig. 4
Slide the drilling table (3) onto the pillar (2). Position
the table directly above the base plate.
Install the table bolting (b) in the table unit from the
left side and tighten it.
Machine head and pillar, Fig. 5
Place the machine head (4) onto the pillar (2).
Put the spindle of the drilling machine with the table
and the base plate in the cover and fasten the 2 Allen
screws (c).
Drill chuck protection with depth stop, Fig. 6
Fit the chuck protection with depth stop (8) onto the
spindle pipe and tighten the slotted screw (d).
Caution! The depth stop must be fed through the
drilling (13) on the housing. Screw on the two nuts
(B1/2) and place the indicator (g) onto the depth stop.
The indicator (g) must point at the scale.
Feed handles to the shaft hub, Fig. 7
Screw the feed handles (A) tightly into the threaded
holes in the hub (B).
Installing the chuck, Fig. 8
1. Clean the conical hole in the chuck (5) and the
spindle cone with a clean piece of fabric. Make sure
there are no foreign particles sticking to the surfac-
es. The slightest piece of dirt on any of these sur-
faces will prevent the chuck from seating properly.
This will cause the drill bit to wobble". If tapered
hole in the chuck is extremely dirty, use a cleaning
solvent on the clean cloth.
2. Push the chuck up on the spindle nose as far as it
wiII go.
3. Turn chuck sleeve anticlockwise (when viewed
from above) and open jaws in chuck completely.
4. Place a piece of wood on the machine table and
lower the spindle onto the piece of wood. Press
firmly to ensure that the food sits exactly.
Fastening radial drill press to supporting surface
For your own safety, it is highly recommended to in-
stall the machine on a bench or similar.
WARNING:
All the necessary adjustments for the good work-
ing of your drill press have been done at the factory
.Please do not modify them.
However, because of a normal wear and tear of your
tool, some readjustments might be necessary .

Always unplug our tool from power source before any
adjustment"
Quill return spring, Fig. 9
It may be necessary to adjust your quill return spring
if the tension is such that the quill returns either too
rapidIy or too slowly
Lower table for additional clearance.
1
Work from left side of drill press.
2
Move the stop nuts (B) down to their lowest posi-
3
tion and lock in place with wrench to prevent quill
dropping while tensioning spring.
4
Place screwdriver in lower front notch (C) of spring
cap (D), and hold it in place
Remove the screw (E) and the knurled nut (C) by
5
using an Allen wrench (SW5).
Carefully turn screwdriver anticlockwise and en-
6
gage next notch in boss (G). Do not remove screw-
driver.
7
Install the knurled nut (C) and the screw (E) again.
8
If there is not enough tension on spring, repeat
steps moving onIy one notch each time and
checking tension after repetition. Proper tension
is achieved when quill returns gentIy to full up posi-
tion when released from 20 mm-3/4" -depth.
9
Check quill while feeding to have smooth and unre-
stricted movement. If movement is too tight, loosen
allen screw (E) and knurled nut (F). Check if the
spindle can move freely again. Retighten jam nut.
The angular play of the spindle. Fig. 10
With the spindle in a low position, take it in your hand
and try to make it revolving about its axis. If there is
too much play, proceed as follows:
Loosen lock nut (L).
1
Turn the screw (I) clockwise to eliminate the play
2
but without obstructing the upward and downward
motion of the spindle (a little bit of play is normal).
3
Tighten the lock nut.

Pivoting the table, Fig. 11
To bring the table (3) to the inclined position, re-
1
lease the table locking (h) and adjust the desired
table angle. Re-tighten the table locking
Adjusting table height., Fig. 12
Loosen the table support lock handle (b).
1
Adjust the table (3) to the desired height.
2
Re-tighten the table locking (b).
