Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Disposal
• Check if the current output has been overloaded.
– Measure the voltage across the current output terminals and measure
the output current. Calculate the resulting load. The load must not
exceed 600 ohms. (See Specifications chapter for options.)
• Check if the voltage output has been overloaded.
– Measure the current in the voltage output loop and measure the
output voltage. The resulting load must not fall below 1000 ohms.
(See Specifications chapter for options.)
• Measure the output signal.
– With shunt monitoring activated (P51*00), an open input circuit is
indicated by a high output signal that is clearly outside the specified
signal range (see Specifications chapter for options).
• Check if there is an overdrive of the input signal.
– Negative overdrive results in a large negative output signal
(see Specifications chapter for options).
– Positive overdrive results in a large positive output signal
(see Specifications chapter for options).
• Check the output.
– Measure the current at the 4...20 mA output: Is it below 3.6 mA?
Signals < 3.6 mA indicate an error. The reason may be an interrupted or
shorted output.

Storage

• Observe the specifications for storage temperature and relative humidity
given in the Specifications chapter.

Disposal

Observe the applicable local or national regulations concerning the disposal
of "waste electrical and electronic equipment".
You can give the transducer to a certified waste management company for
proper disposal.
