Package Contents

Check the shipment for transport damage and completeness.
• Transducer in transport packaging
• Washers and self-locking nuts (M5) for high voltage connection
• 2-pin connector (push-in) for power supply
• 8-pin connector (push-in) for output
• Documentation
• Specific test report
For transducers with protective covers (ZU 1030):
• Protective cover for input
• Protective cover for output/power supply
• 2 cable support sleeves (ZU 1031) for high-voltage cables
Mounting
• on a plane mounting surface
For use on rolling stock, we recommend mounting the transducer
on a plane mounting surface using 4 screws (M6).
Fasten the M6 screws with a recommended tightening torque of 2 Nm
on the plane (conducting or non-conducting) mounting surface
(see L in fig. on page 65).
• on DIN rail
In a well-kept room, you can either snap the transducer on a TS 35 DIN rail or
mount it on a plane mounting surface.
CAUTION: Protection and safety functions!
Inside rolling stock the transducers must be installed in closed and fire-
protected enclosures. You must meet the following requirements of
EN 45545-2 4.2 (h):
– Enclosure volume ≤ 2 m
– Enclosure volume > 2 m
I15 (surfaces adjacent to compartments for passengers or personnel)
– Alternatively, protected by a fire alarm/extinguishing system in the
enclosure
