Before the generator can be con-
nected to a building's electrical
system, a licensed electrician
must install an isolation (trans-
fer) switch in the building's main
fuse box. The switch is the con-
nection point for generator
power and allows selection of
generator or main line power to
the building. This will prevent the

generator from charging the
main power line (backfeeding)
when the main power supply has
failed or has been turned off for

建筑物的主保险箱中安装一个断开
（传输）开关。 此开关是发电机与电力
系统的连接点，可以选择是使用发电
机还是使用干线电源为建筑物供电。
当干线电源有问题，或为修理供电线
路而切断干线电源时，这可以防止发
电机为干线供电（反馈） 。 电源反馈会
使维修线路的人员触电死亡或受伤。
