TROUBLESHOOTING
When engine is difficult to start
2 Fuel is thick and doesn't flow.
9 Check the fuel tank and fuel
filter.
9 Remove water, dirt and other
impurities.
9 If there should be water or
other foreign matter in the fil-
ter, clean the filter with kero-
sene.
2 Air or water mixed in fuel sys-
tem.
9 If air is in the fuel filter for in-
jection lines, the fuel pump will
not work properly. To attain
proper fuel injection pressure,
check carefully for loosened
fuel line couplings, loose cap
nut, etc.
9 Loosen air vent screws on top
of the fuel filter and the fuel
injection pump to eliminate all
the air in the fuel system.
2 Thick carbon deposits on orifice
of injection nozzle.
9 This is caused when water or
dirt is mixed in the fuel. Clean
the nozzle injection piece, be-
ing careful not to damage the
orifice.
9 Check to see if nozzle is work-
ing properly or not. If not, in-
stall a new nozzle.
2 Valve clearance is incorrect.
9 Adjust valve clearance to
0.145–0.185 mm (0.0057–
0.0072 in) when the engine is
cold.
2 Leaking valves.
9 Grind valve.

9 所有燃油都必须通过滤油器进行
过滤， 如果在滤油器上粘有水或
其他异物，应用煤油清洁滤油
器。
3 在燃油系统中混有空气或水。
9 如果注油管的滤油器中混有空
气，油泵将无法正常工作。要达
到正常的注油压力， 必须仔细检
查油管的结合部是否松弛、 封盖
螺帽是否松弛等等。
9 将滤油器上方通气口处的螺丝拧
松， 使注油泵将燃油系统中的空
气全部排出。
3 注油管喷嘴的喷管处沉淀有一厚层
碳灰。
9 当燃油中混有水或脏物时会产生
这种现象。 请清洁注油管的喷嘴
部，注意不要损坏喷管。
9 检查喷嘴是否工作正常，否则，
更换新的喷嘴。
3 阀门间隙不正确
9 发动机冷却后调节阀门间隙至
0.145－0.185 mm （0.0057－0.0072
in）之间。
