10. Using the device
m) BPM function
Press the TAP button (22) to determine the beats per minute of a song.
Press the TAP button (22) with the beat during playback.
The LC display (17) shows the result under "BPM".
n) BREAK function
The BRAKE function causes the song to slowly start or slow down when the PLAY/PAUSE button (13) is pressed.
This function simulates a record played on a record player.
Press the BRAKE button (4) to activate or deactivate the function. When the BRAKE function is activated, the
button is lit.
o) REVERSE function
When the REVERSE function is activated, songs are played backwards.
Press the REVERSE button (3) to activate or deactivate the function. When the REVERSE function is activated,
the button is lit.
p) TIME
The TIME button (5) switches between the display options for the playing time (elapsed track time > total remai-
ning time > remaining track time).
Press the TIME button (5) until the desired time is displayed.
Total remaining time is only shown for audio CDs. Total remaining time is not displayed in USB
mode, SD card mode or in CD mode when an MP3 CD is inserted.
q) SINGLE/CONTINUE playback
Press the SINGLE/CONTINUE button (20) to select single track playback or continuous playback. When sin-
gle track playback is selected, the device pauses after the played track. With continuous playback, the data
source is played continuously.
r ) SCRATCH function
When the SCRATCH function (VINYL) is active, use the JOG wheel (2) to scratch like with a real record player
within the selected track in PLAY or PAUSE mode.
Press the SCRATCH/VINYL button (19) to activate or deactivate the function. When this function is activated,
the button is lit.
Now turn the JOG wheel (2) to scratch.
s ) Switching off the device
Press the PLAY/PAUSE
Turn off the amplifier and/or mixing desks that might be connected.
Only then switch off the CD player with the mains switch (1).
