10. Using the device
b) Inserting a CD
• Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (18) to open the CD tray (26). The word "OPEN" appears on the display.
• Place a CD on the CD tray with the printed side facing upwards. Always hold the CD by the outer edge and
avoid touching the surface of the underside.
Do not insert any damaged CDs into the player. The high rotational speed may cause the CD to
crack and damage the device. Make sure that the CD is positioned correctly on the CD tray. Do not
insert more than one CD.
Never interfere with the motor-driven movement of the CD tray. Do not close the CD tray by pres-
sing on it. This damages the mechanics and could lead to malfunctioning. The CD tray is automa-
tically shut after about 20 seconds. This prevents possible damage to the CD tray.
• Close the CD tray again by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE-button (18).
• The CD is read.
• Then, the device automatically sets the CUE point at the beginning of music in the first track on the CD and
goes into pause mode.
The CD tray cannot be opened during CD playback. This ensures that playback is not interrupted
unintentionally. Before pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button (18), stop playback.
c) Plugging in USB memory
• Plug a USB memory stick into the USB port (24).
Due to the great variety of devices with USB interfaces that sometimes have manufacturer-specific
functions, we cannot guarantee that all media will be recognized and that all operational functions
will be available with this device. Therefore, only use one USB memory stick.
d) Inserting an SD card
• Insert your SD card into the SD card slot (25) until it snaps in.
To remove the SD card, softly press on it until you hear a click which indicates that it has been unlocked. The SD
card can now be removed.
