4. Safety instructions
For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are not
permitted.
All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and quali-
fied appropriately and observe these operating instructions.
This device is a safety class II product. Only a standard power socket (230V~ - 240V~/50Hz) of the public
mains supply may be used.
This product is equipped with a class 1 laser. Never open the device! A warning label on the device warns the
user of the laser in the device. Do not remove the warning label from the device. Do not open the device and
do not attempt to access interior components. Never look directly into the laser beam. Laser radiation can
seriously damage your eyes.
Make sure the device is put into operation correctly. Observe these operating instructions.
Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical
stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable through extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the
mains cable. Otherwise, the mains cable could be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly
electric shock.
If the mains cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, cut off the power supply to the relevant mains socket (e.g.
via the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug carefully out of the mains socket. Separate the mains
cable from the device. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
In order to completely separate the device from the mains supply, pull the mains plug of the CD player out of
the wall socket. It is not sufficient to switch off the CD player using the power switch.
This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children cannot judge the dangers involved when hand-
ling electrical devices.
Never pour liquids on electrical devices and do not place any containers filled with liquids (e.g. vases) on
them. This poses a serious risk of fire or electric shock. If this is the case, first de-energize the respective
socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains cable from the socket. Disconnect all cables
from the device. After that, the product must no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
Never connect or disconnect power plugs with wet hands.
Make sure the device is sufficiently ventilated when in operation. Do not cover the ventilation openings with
magazines, blankets, curtains or similar. Keep a minimum distance of approx. 15 cm to other objects.
Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or splashing water, strong vibrations or heavy
mechanical stress.
Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles on the device.
Consult an expert when in doubt about the mode of operation, safety or connection of the device.
Do not operate the device unattended.
