21.1. Connection of light barrier, safety contact strip

External safety devices must be approved for personal protection and are not
tested by the motor controll! A check of the correct functioning must be car-
ried out every 6 months at the latest.
A light barrier or an electrical safety contact strip can be connected to termi-
nals 13 + 14 to safeguard the main closing edge. The light barrier must have a
potential-free NC contact (closed in the idle state). Several light barriers can be
connected in a row. If a light barrier is connected, safety switch 1 must be set
to the OFF = LS position. If safety switch 1 is set to the ON = SE position, an
electrical safety contact strip can be connected to the LS / SE 1 input, which
must be terminated with an 8.2 k resistor. In the case of an electrical contact
strip, the outer contact of the rubber profile must be clamped to terminal 14 =
ground; in the case of contact strips, this is the white connecting wire. An un-
used LS/SE 1 input must be bridged and safety switch 1 set to OFF = LS. The LS /
SE 1 input only has an effect in motor run CLOSED (reversing to end position
OPEN). When the LS / SE 1 input is activated, the motor can only be started in
the OPEN direction. When the automatic closing function is activated, the clos-
ing time is reset by actuating the LS / SE 1- input and remains reset until the
input is enabled again. After enabling, the drive closes at slow speed. When the
LS/SE 1 input is actuated again, the closing time remains reset until a new pulse
is given. The LS / SE 1 input is self-monitoring. The input is tested during each
self-test. If an error is detected, the motor cannot be run.
External safety devices must be approved for personal protection and are not
tested by the controller! A check of the correct functioning must be carried
out every 6 months at the latest.
A light barrier or an electrical safety contact strip can be connected to termi-
nals 15 + 16 to safeguard the side closing edge. The light barrier must have a
potential-free NC contact (closed in the idle state). Several light barriers can be
connected in a row. If a light barrier is connected, safety switch 2 must be set
to the OFF = LS position.
