Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the prob-
lem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem

Possible cause / solution / tips
• Is the plug not inserted in the mains socket correctly? Correct
the fi t of the mains plug.
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of the mains connection.
• Are the fi lters clogged? Clean all fi lters.
• Is the exhaust air valve (7) on the handle (8) open? Close the
exhaust air valve (7).
• Is the dust container (2) too full? Empty the dust container (2).
• Are the fi lters heavily clogged? Clean all fi lters.
• Is the nozzle, the telescopic tube (5) or the suction hose (9)
clogged? Switch off the device, pull the mains plug out of the
plug socket and remove the cause of the blockage (also see
the "Assembly" chapter).
• Is the dust container (2) not closed correctly and / or not
(correctly) inserted into the device? Correct the fi t of the dust
container (2).
• The mains cable was not correctly wound up in the device.
Pull it out a bit and press the
cable (11) again.
• Is the device being used for the fi rst time? A smell often
develops when new devices are fi rst used. The smell should
disappear once the device has been used several times.
