4 Function and Use
4.1

Superstructure

1 Valve inlet (from pump)
2 Valve outlet (to dosing line)
3 Bypass connection (to tank)
4 Overpressure: venting / draining (setting knob "B")
We recommend the use of a manometer to be able to read the set back
pressure.
4.2

Functional Description

The following functions are done by two spring loaded diaphragms.
4.2.1

Pressure holding function

"A")
6 Manometer connection
Protection against sucking empty at under pressure or empty
lifting due to creation of an artificial counter pressure.
In normal operation a diaphragm valve must be pressed
against a preset spring pressure of 0,1 MPa (1 bar) for
passage to the metering line by the delivery pressure of the
metering pump.
