Troubleshooting

If the device should stop working properly, first check whether you are able
to correct the problem yourself. Otherwise, contact our customer service
department (see the "Customer Service" chapter).
Do not try to repair a faulty device yourself!
Problem
The device does not
work.
Failed call
The display on the
phone is black/empty.
The mobile phone is
switched on, but is not
responding.
The charging process
does not start.
SMS cannot be re-
ceived or sent.
Possible cause/solution
• Is the mobile phone switched on?
• Is the keypad lock activated?
• Is the battery charged up?
• Has the SIM card been inserted correctly?
• Is there still credit on your prepaid SIM card?
• Check the phone number and local dialling
code prefix. Enter all phone numbers including
their dialling code!
• Make sure that there is sufficient credit remain-
ing on your SIM card.
• Has the SIM card been inserted correctly?
• Is network reception adequate?
• Has the wrong line been set? (Menu  Call
center  Call settings  SIM call settings 
Line switching)
• The mobile phone is in energy-saving mode.
Press any key.
• The mobile phone has been switched off.
Switch on the mobile phone.
• Is the keypad lock activated?
• Remove the battery and wait a couple of sec-
onds before inserting it again and switching the
mobile phone on again.
• If the battery is completely dead, it can take as
much as ten minutes before the charging proc-
ess is displayed.
• Has the SIM card been inserted correctly?
