Inserting the Battery

cAUTION!
❐ Keep the battery out of the reach of children and animals!
❐ Use only batteries that are recommended by the manufacturer.
❐ Make sure that the mobile phone is switched off (see the "Basic Functions"
chapter, "Switching the Mobile Phone On and Off" section) and the USB
cable is not connected before you remove/insert a battery.
3. Place the battery compartment cover back onto the mobile phone and
slide it shut as far as it will go.

❐ It is essential that you fully charge up the battery before you first use the
device.
❐ Use only chargers/mains adapters that are recommended by the manufac-
turer.
❐ The lithium-ion battery which is supplied with the device only reaches its
full capacity after it has been fully discharged and charged up again approx.
three times.
❐ If you do not wish to use the mobile phone for a prolonged period of
time, fully charge up the battery before you remove it and store the device
away.
1. The battery compartment cover (2) is located on
the back of the phone. Slide it a little away from
the emergency call button (1) and then lift it off
the mobile phone.
2. There are three metal contacts on the battery
compartment wall. The battery has a metal strip
on the side. Insert it into the battery compartment
so that this strip touches the metal contacts in the
battery compartment and then place it down in the
battery compartment.
