– Power off (melody when the phone is switched off): To change the
tone, press the key and call up Change. Choose a tone or Silent from
the list.
You must save changes with the key. If you use the
Back, the changes will be discarded.

Silent Mode

If necessary, you have the option of switching off the ringtone and then acti-
vating it again. If the ringtone is switched off (Silent mode), the mobile phone
vibrates when incoming calls are received.
• To activate the Silent mode, hold the # key down for a few seconds on
the start screen. After activation, a corresponding message is displayed
and a mobile phone symbol appears in the top left-hand corner of the
display.
• To switch on the ringtone, hold the # key down again for a few seconds.
A corresponding message is displayed and a musical score symbol appears
in the top left-hand corner of the display.
The Silent mode can also be activated and deactivated on the User profiles
menu.
1. Open with the key Menu  User profiles (key 6).
2. Use the arrow key to select Silent and confirm this by pressing (twice
in succession) the key. After this, the Silent option will be marked with
a small heart, which indicates that this function has been activated.
3. To reactivate the ringtone, select another option on the User profiles
menu.

Options on the Settings Menu

On the Settings menu you can set up your phone and the network and se-
curity settings as you wish. The functions of this menu are described in brief
below.
• Call up Menu  Settings (key 5). Here you can open the following
submenus: Phone settings (key 1), Network settings (key 2), Security
settings (key 3) and Restore factory settings (key 4).
