Acceleration.
Rotation: Speed increases.
When setting out or close to an uphill
route, turn the dial gradually to increase
the engine power "A"
Return: Speed is reduced "B".
In case of emergency, make your return
as quickly as possible.

Gear change:
The vehicle has 6 gears, set out as
shown. Use the correct gear according
to driving conditions.
Changing up a gear
Release the accelerator dial, pull the
clutch, lift the gear lever, release the
clutch and accelerate.

Changing down a gear
Release the accelerator dial, if neces-
sary, use the brake levers to slow down.
Pull the clutch, lower the gear lever in
the direction of fi rst gear and release the
clutch gently.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Always change down one gear at a time
and at the correct speed to avoid en-
gine overspeed and jamming of the rear
wheel.

Tips for reducing fuel consumption
Fuel consumption mainly depends on
driving style The following advice can
serve to reduce fuel consumption:
• Change gears rapidly and avoid
revving the engine too much when
accelerating.
• Do not accelerate the engine while
changing up a gear ad avoid high
revs when there is no charge on the
engine.
• Switch off the engine instead of
leaving it to idle over for long peri-
ods of time, (e.g., in traffi c jams, at
traffi c lights or at level crossings).
