Battery operation of the KTS 650

The integrated fully-charged battery in the KTS 650 is
set up as a buffer battery, in order to provide approx.
1 hour of autonomous operation. Make sure, therefore,
that where the KTS 650 is used for longer than this
period, a permanent external power supply is available
(vehicle or power pack).
The charging of the battery is controlled automatically
in the KTS 650. Whenever the KTS 650 is connected
to the power pack or to the vehicle battery (via the
connected diagnostic cable/adapter lead to the
diagnostic plug in the vehicle), the battery is charged
(see also Chapter 2.4.2). If the battery charge is at less
than 20 %, it emits a warning signal (beep). Charge the
battery up again immediately. You can read the battery
charge state at any time on the energy display. The
battery charge state is displayed in the menu

Touchscreen with stylus

The touchscreen of the KTS 650 is operated with the
stylus. The stylus basically has the same functions as a
mouse. A single click with the left mouse key conforms
to a single touch of the stylus on, for example, an
icon or the positioning of the cursor on an entry field.
A double click with the left mouse key conforms to a
double touch of the stylus on the touchscreen. This
is used to start an application program, for example.
Clicking with the right mouse key conforms to a
press of the stylus on the touchscreen for more than
2 seconds and opens up any available auxiliary menus.
i
Alternatively, a mouse can be used via the USB
connection.
