Causes of faults and how to repair

The following table helps repair and localise small faults
Possible cause
Group handle is not
attached correctly
Edge of filter basket
is not free of coffee

The group head is dirty.

Repair
Ensure the handle is
firmly positioned onto
the group head.
Wipe the group hand-
le clean of coffee.
Clean the group head.

Fill reservoir with wa-
ter.
Ensure it is correctly
positioned.
Ensure the steam and
hot water control dial
is in the off position.
Empty out the filter
and rinse under wa-
ter to clean. Wipe the
group head with a
cloth. Repack the filter
and do not tamp the
grounds to firmly.
Descale the unit
Clean the brewing
head.
Use fresh coffee.
