Clean the group handle every
time you prepare espresso to
prevent mould growth.
After finishing making the

espresso, switch the unit off
again by pressing the "POW-
ER" button.
If you do happen to forget,
‹
the unit switches into standby
mode after about 2 hours.
To start using the unit again,
‹
press the "POWER" button.
The unit heats up again. After
a short time, you can continue
as described in "Espresso pre-
paration".
Discard the used cof-
fee grinds.
GRAEFF recommends using wa-
ter filtered with the BRITA filter
Even though we have high qual-
ity drinking water, filtration can
still be optimised because, de-
pending on the origin of the
water, it contains individual
components such as lime, chlo-
rine or metals such as lead and
copper which could come from
the building plumbing. A BRITA
water filter reduces these sub-
stances. That in turn helps de-
velop the natural aromas and
full taste of your hot beverage.
On top of that, it protects your
unit from calcification. That ex-
tends the service life and keeps
the brewing performance con-
stant, plus the energy consump-
tion remains at the same, low
level.
