Binding use instructions:
Since ski/binding/boot systems respond to forces from the lower leg, it is important that all boot
buckles are securely fastened while skiing.
Before stepping into the binding, make sure your boots are free of snow or dirt.
Stepping-in (Fig. 1 – 2):
Make sure the heel cup of your binding is open, with the heel lever in the low position. Place the toe
of your boot under the toe piece. Place the heel of your boot on the heel cup treadle and step-in firmly.
Stepping-out (Fig. 3 – 4):
Put your ski pole on the heel lever and push firmly while lifting your foot.
Carrying position (Fig. 5 – 6):
Hold one ski vertically and slide the other ski over the first until the brake arms slot together.
Maintenance:
Proper maintenance will help your bindings to function properly:
• Before the start of the ski season, and at least 30 days before going skiing, have your bindings
checked by a qualified retailer.
• Before use, always inspect the AFD (Antifriction Device) or the piece of Teflon®, under the base of
the foot, for wear or damage. If it is worn or damaged, get it replaced by a qualified retailer.
• Check that the brakes operate freely.
• Use soapy water to clean your ski bindings. Do not use solvents, hot water or a water jet.
Preventive maintenance:
• If you carry your skis on the roof of your car, cover the bindings with a binding cover or a ski bag to
avoid excessive exposure to dirt and salt on the road. However, do not leave your skis in a ski bag
for extended periods of time.
• Store your ski equipment in a dry and heated location overnight to avoid any ice build-up.
• Excessive wear of the soles of your boots will have an adverse effect on the operation of your bindings.
Avoid walking in your ski boots on rough ground.
• If there appears to be a problem with your ski bindings, ask your qualified retailer.
