3.4 Neutral safety switch installation (optional)
This optional device allows starting the engine only with the shift gear in "neutral" position, preventing
the boat from moving in a wrong way. To assemble it, follow the instructions below:
Secure the safety switch X41 by means of screws (1), washer (2) and nut (3) (supplied in X41 kit), as
shown in the picture.
NOTICE
Keep the screw head on the switch surface.
For the correct operation of neutral safety switch X41, proceed
as follows:
1) before the engine is started, verify that
the switch is installed correctly.
2) move the lever back and forth (from the
NEUTRAL position) and check that the
device switches.
3) wire the switch paying particular attention
to electrical diagrams and connections.
4) start the engine and verify that the
system works properly.
CAUTION
When the lever is in NEUTRAL position, the circuit must be closed; when it is in a different position, it
must be open.
WARNING
If the engine switches on when the lever is not in NEUTRAL position, check the entire wiring. Misuse,
unauthorized modifications, or incorrect installation of this neutral safety device can cause serious or
even fatal physical injury.
