3.6.2 Shift cable connection to rocker arm

Screw terminal(R) on the thread of the shift cable.

Close or extend the cable to insert the cablehead in the hole of the rocker arm. Check that the length of the cable
is correct. If it is correct, fasten locknut (1) and insert the appropriate split pin (S) in the terminal of the cable to
prevent its release from the rocker arm. If the length is not correct, screw or unscrew the terminal on the
thread of the cable to obtain a finer adjustment, then tighten the locknut (1) and insert the appropriate split pin
(S) into the cable terminal.

CAUTION
The correct operation of the control depends on the precise regulation of the length of the shift cable.

CAUTION
In no case shall the stroke developed by the single lever control (67 mm (2.64") on the inner hole; 78 mm
(3.0") on the outer hole of the rocker arm) exceeds the stroke measured on the engine lever.
This could damage both the cable and the control.
- The conduit of the cables, which appears from the lower part of the control, may be group-wrapped or
fixed at a minimum distance of 500 mm (19.7") from the control itself.
