Working safely with this machine is possible only when the
operating and safety information are read completely and
the instructions contained therein are strictly followed. Have
other persons that want to work with this saw read these op-
erating instructions first.
The machine must not be damp and must also not be oper-
ated in damp surroundings.
Before each use, check the machine, cable and plug. If dam-
age is detected, do not use the machine. Have repairs per-
formed only by a qualified technician. Never open the ma-
chine yourself.
Wear protective glasses and hearing protection.
For long hair, wear hair protection. Work only with closely
fitting clothes.
For the mounting and replacing of the saw blade, wear pro-
tective gloves.
Wood dust is harmful to one's health. Wear dust protection
mask!
Before any adjustment work or the assembly of accessories, pull
the mains plug out of the power socket. The machine could start un-
intentionally and lead to serious injuries.
Only sharp saw blades in perfect working condition should be used;
cracked or bent saw blades should be discarded and replaced at
once. Keep the saw blades sharp. As a general rule, only Würth
saw blades are permitted for use.
Do not use cutting discs.
Pay attention to the cutting direction when assembling the saw blade.
Ensure that all devices covering the saw blade are in perfect working
order.
Free a jammed saw blade guard immediately and do not use the
saw if the guard is jammed. Never block the saw blade guard.
Before using, ensure that the saw is mounted or set up on a level
and sturdy working surface. A level and sturdy working surface re-
duces the danger of the saw becoming instable.
Always use clamping fixtures to secure the workpiece
whenever possible. If the workpiece is held by hand, then
your hand must always be positioned outside of the area
designated by the "Hands off" symbol on the saw table. If
you position your hands within the "Hands off" area, they
can easily slip off and be drawn into the saw blade.
Do not use this saw to saw workpieces that are too small to be
held securely. Workpieces that are too small are drawn in by the
saw and can lead to serious injuries.
Prepare your work. Support workpieces that are wider or longer
than the surface of the table using suitable accessories, e.g., ta-
bles, saw stands or table extensions. Workpieces that are longer
or wider than the saw table can tip up or tilt when not securely
clamped. When the workpiece or the cut off workpiece end tips up
or tilts, it can press up the protection guard or be thrown up by the
rotating saw blade.
Check your workpiece before sawing. If your workpiece is bent or
warped, clamp it against the fence of the saw table with the out-
wards bent side. Always ensure that no clearance develops be-
tween workpiece, fence and saw table alongside the cutting line.
Bent or warped workpieces can twist or be thrown about and seize
the rotating saw blade during the sawing procedure.
Prepare the sawing of irregularly shaped workpieces in such a
manner that the workpiece cannot slip away, cannot be torn out
of your hand and that the saw blade cannot seize or jam. As an
example, a trimming or strip must be supported flat or be secured
by means of a fixture so that it cannot twist, slip off or be thrown up
during the sawing procedure.
Always use clamping fixtures or holding devices that are suitable
for secure fastening of workpieces such as wooden dowels, strips
or tubes. Strips have the tendency to turn while being sawed. This
causes the saw teeth to wedge and forces the workpiece with your
hand toward the saw blade.

Do not use another person as a replacement for a table extension
or an additional support. Unstable supporting of the workpiece can
lead to seizing/wedging of the saw blade. The workpiece can slip
away during the sawing procedure and pull you and your helper to-
ward the rotating saw blade.
Remove all nails and metal objects from the workpiece before start-
ing work.
Make sure all locking knobs and clamp handles are tight before
starting any operation.
Remove the open-end spanner from the saw blade fastening bolt be-
fore switching the machine on.
Do not use the saw when other tools or wood remainders are
aside of the workpiece on the saw table. Small scraps, loose wood
parts or other objects that come in contact with the rotating saw
blade can be flung against the operator with high speed.
Never cross your hands over the visualized cutting line. Holding
the workpiece "over cross", e.g. holding the left side of the work-
piece with the right hand, is very dangerous.
Do not guide the workpiece into the saw blade or do not saw
"free-handed" in any other manner. The workpiece must be se-
curely supported, clamped or held tightly by hand. The saw must
be led slowly through the workpiece and at a feed rate that does not
overload the motor of the saw.
Wait until the saw blade has reached the maximum speed before
touching the workpiece. This prevents workpieces from being
thrown up or away.
Only saw one workpiece per work step. Several workpieces can-
not be clamped or held sufficiently and seize the saw blade or move
during the sawing process.
In case the workpiece or the saw blade jams or seizes, immediate-
ly switch off the saw. Wait until all movable parts have come to a
standstill and pull the mains plug. Free the seized or jammed ma-
terial. Continued sawing in jammed material can lead to accidents
and damage the saw.
When the saw blade suddenly jams, a counter-torque develops
which leads to kickback of the machine. Therefore, immediately re-
lease the On/Off switch when the saw blade jams or seizes.
Do not reach into the rear, unprotected area of the saw
blade and the fence while pressing down or holding tight
the workpiece or when removing wood chips. The clear-
ance of the rotating saw blade to your hand is not visible,
and you could get seriously injured.
The cut off workpiece must not jam or be pressed against the ro-
tating saw blade for other reasons. If, as an example, it is jammed
by means of a ripping fence, it can wedge or get caught in the saw
blade and be flung up violently.
Raise the blade from the kerf in the workpiece prior to releasing the
switch.
Never attempt to stop a machine in motion rapidly by jamming a
tool or other means against the blade; serious accidents can be
caused unintentionally in this way.
While being braked, the saw head can be forced downward
abruptly. Be prepared for this reaction when carrying out an incom-
plete cut or releasing the switch before the saw head is not located
completely in the lower position.
Returning the saw head to the starting position must not be re-
stricted through sawdust/wood chips or deposits. Otherwise, the
saw blade guard cannot fully close. The danger of injury is large
due to the unprotected saw blade.
Do not saw metal materials. The developing metal dust can influ-
ence the protective insulation and cause an electrical shock.
To mark the machine, do not drill into the housing or attach rivets.
The double insulation is then no longer guaranteed. Use adhesive
labels.
Use only original Würth parts and accessories.
