File Transfer Utility

The File Transfer Utility program allows you to
upload bitmap files (.bmp) from your FSA 450
Engine Analyzer to your personal computer.
This program uploads stored screen bitmap
files in the FSA 450 and saves them in a PC
directory of your choice. The bitmap files can
then be viewed with your default Windows
viewer program.

12.1 Basic requirements

Windows 98 or later operating system
Functional, non-shared PC communication
port
Approximately 1MB of free disk space
FSA 450 Installation CD, which includes
the FTU installation (P/N 1 687 005 008)
RS232 cable (P/N 1 684 465 536)

12.2 Installation instructions

1. Place the CD in the PC's CD/DVD drive.
The installation program automatically
opens.
2. Select Install File Transfer Utility button.
3. Click Next.
4. Check the default installation location and
click Next.

If you wish to change the installation
location from the default directory, click
Browse and type in your preferred location
in the appropriate screen.
The wizard completes the installation.
5. Click Finish.
The complete operating instructions are
included in the on-screen Help feature that
can be selected from the pull-down Help
menu or by pressing the F1 key.

Disposal

Please dispose of used electronic equipment
via the designated recovery systems.

13.1 Disposal of electronic devices

This product is subject to European
guidelines 2002/96/EG (WEEE).
Old electrical and electronic devices, includ-
ing cables and accessories or batteries must
be disposed of separate to household waste.
Please use the return and collection
systems in place for disposal in your area.
Damage to the environment and hazards
to personal health are prevented by
properly
disposing of old equipment.

13.2 Disposal of LCD display

Please dispose of the LCD display in
accordance with local regulations on the
disposal of hazardous waste.

13.3 Disposal of batteries

Please dispose of the batteries in accordance
with local regulations on the disposal of
hazardous waste.
