Intended use

Safety-related work and safety checks on the lifting system may only be carried out by
trained personnel.
Experts are persons who, based on their training and experience, are allowed to inspect and
assess lifting equipment. They are familiar with the relevant occupational safety and accident
prevention regulations. (Freelance specialist engineers, TÜV experts)
Experts are users who have acquired special knowledge in the handling of wheel grippers
as a result of their training, and attended training at the factory of the manufacturer. (After-
sales service engineers of the manufacturer and the authorised dealer are experts)
3 Intended use
The wheel gripper serves to lift vehicles on their wheels, and on the frame for maintenance
and repair work. When lifting on the frame, suitable trusses and load handling devices must
be used.
The operation is only allowed to trained personnel who have been commissioned by the
company in writing.
The lifting system was designed exclusively for use in dry indoor areas.
A safety area of at least 1 m is required around the vehicle.

3.2 Behaviour in case of failure

If a fault occurs:

Enter and ride on load and load handling equipment.
Standing and working under the load during lifting or lowering.
Lifting vehicles with hazardous goods.
Use of the wheel gripper in potentially explosive areas.
Lifting of vehicles exceeding the maximum permissible load.
Immediately interrupt all load movements.
Leave danger zone.
Secure the system against further use.
Inform the supervisor.
