6.1

Maintenance table

The specified intervals are recommendations from Dräger.
Differing national regulations must be observed where
appropriate.
For maintenance work on the full face mask, air supply unit and
compressed air breathing apparatus, see the relevant
operating instructions.

1 Applies to chemical protective suits that are stored without
carrying bag on vehicles.
With chemical protective suits that are stored in the relevant
carrying bag, the interval is extended to two years.

Dräger recommends keeping a record of all
maintenance work (see Chap. 10 on Page 40).
6.2 Visual inspection of chemical protective
suit
The following examinations are mandatory. The chemical
protective suit must be repaired or disposed of in case of
defects.
No holes, cuts or abrasions must be found on the outside

of the chemical protective suit.
The seam band must not be coming apart in any way.

The face cuff and full face mask must be clean.

The following parts must be undamaged:

a. Suit material
b. Gloves
c. Socks
d. Face cuff
e. Full face mask
f. Fastener system
The suit valve must be clear and undamaged.

The suit material must not have any signs of wear. The

coating must not come apart from the fabric.

Cleaning and disinfecting the chemical
protective suit
CAUTION

Risk of damaging the material!
Do not use any solvents (e. g. acetone, alcohol) or
cleaning agents containing abrasive particles for
cleaning and disinfecting. Only use the prescribed
process and use the cleaning and disinfection agents
given. Other agents, dosages and contact times may
damage the product.

Manual cleaning and disinfecting

If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a glove

combination, the glove combination must be removed
and disposed.
If Tricotril overgloves were used, remove them but do

not wash them. Contaminated Tricotril overgloves must
be replaced.
If K-MEX-Gigant overgloves were used, remove them

and clean separately.
FKM, FKM/Butyl and Butyl gloves can remain attached

during manual cleaning.
